HISTORY OF THE BRAND - Chase Authentics
Motorsports Authentics is operated by a joint venture between International Speedway Corporation (ISC) and Speedway Motorsports Incorporated (SMI) formed from the assets of Action Performance Companies Inc. and Team Caliber in 2005.
In 1992, Action Performance Companies secured the exclusive license of NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt. This put Action on the map as a brand and soon other top drivers were signing exclusive agreements with the company. Then, in 1995, the die-cast and motorsports collectibles landscape was changed forever, when Action manufactured Dale Earnhardt’s special paint scheme for the NASCAR All-Star Race. Thus, ushering in the age of "special" paint schemes that collectors clamor for today!
In 1999, Team Caliber was created, as a manufacturer of officially licensed, high quality die-cast. In 2000, Jack Roush purchased the company, with the goal of securing his teams’ die-cast and collectible future. Team Caliber then began producing a series of die-cast with varying degrees of price, detail and quality, in addition to apparel and novelty.
Today, Motorsports Authentics is the Offical Trackside Apparel and the Official Trackside Vendor of NASCAR. Motorsports Authentics markets & distributes products through a variety of channels, including Trackside at NASCAR events, specialty retail stores, the Internet, Team and Driver shops and Track Retail Stores.
